speed_trials a masterful demonstration of classic old school, dark dungeon synth. each track takes you on a unique path, from sweeping majestic songs, to the metal influenced, to the medieval neo-classical. if I only had one album to show someone new to the dungeon synth genre I very well might choose this one, as it has such a variety of sounds and elements that are each done so very well. hails from New England! ⚔️ Favorite track: I. In the midst of darkness, light persists.

Count V. An authentic old school gem coming from the past, maintaining its original flavor after more than 20 years. Not your average two-notes Dungeon Synth, a lot of variety is present in this album and each track has been well thought and has its own identity. For fans of dynamic DS with a bit of metal in it, think Bachus or Warlock Corpse. Can’t wait to see this album physically released! Favorite track: IV. Back at the Laughing Goblin [Inn].

Toby Van de Velde This is a release that is heavy on atmospheres.
Brooding and anthemic, the chill will seep into your bones.
Then all of a sudden it almost turns into a Dungeon Beat album for raving with goblins in the depths.

Meatbreak It is not so often that the many strands of dungeon synth and associated soundworlds meet in the one place, but here we have an audio story told with masterful detail, with a narrative of atmosphere, suspense, revelation and rumination, where patience is rewarded and rash mishap is met with merciless consequence.
